Samsung’s next Android Wear smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch, is almost ready.
At Google I/O, the company teased the new Android Wear-enabled watch with a few more specs and a few videos.
Here are the highlights: The Samsung Galaxy Watch 2, as it’s known, is a two-piece smartwatch with a battery that can last up to 12 hours of screen-on time.
That’s more than twice as long as the previous model, which had a 6-hour battery.
It’s made from a special plastic material called “Silica,” which makes it tougher and more resilient than most other materials.
Samsung also says the watch is 100 percent waterproof, though the company says it can take up to 1.5 meters of water for up to a day.
The Galaxy Watch is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, which Samsung says has a 1.8GHz clock speed.
There are four hours of battery life in this watch.
And, Samsung says, it has an Android Wear interface that runs on Android Wear, a “wearable platform.”
A new design for the Galaxy Wat is available now for pre-order at Samsung’s online store.
The watch will go on sale in the United States later this month for $349.
The device will launch with Android Wear 1.1 and will be compatible with Samsung’s Gear Live and Samsung Gear watches.
There will also be a “smartwatch” version that will be available later this year, and Samsung says it will support “wearables from partners like Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour, and others.”
There will be a watch with smart-watches like the Samsung Gear Live, Samsung Gear Sport, and the Samsung Watch 2 in the future, and it will be more like the Apple Watch or Apple Watch OS with smartwatches, Samsung said.
The new watch has an impressive battery life, but it’s not a full smartwatch.
Samsung says that, in theory, the Samsung Galaxy watch should last up a day on a single charge.
Samsung’s new smartwatch could be an Android version of Google’s Android Wear OS.
The Samsung watch will support Android Wear at launch, and we’ll see what Google does with it, Samsung added.
But Google has been quietly working on a smartwatch for years.
The first Android Wear device was the Samsung Smartwatch, which debuted in 2014.
Google’s smartwatch has been a mainstay in Android phones and tablets since, with a slew of Android Wear watches and accessories.
Google is working on smartwares with a lot of different hardware features, and while the GoogleWatch is the only device in the Galaxy line that will actually support Android, Samsung and other companies have already begun work on smartwatch designs.
We don’t know what Samsung’s Galaxy watch will look like yet, but Samsung says the new watch is “a beautiful and unique design that combines a watch that you wear with your Android Wear experience.”
